NILES. – Sharon Tyler, Republican candidate for the Michigan House of Representatives, today announced the endorsement of the Citizens for Traditional Values, Michigan Association of Police Organizations, Michigan Townships Association, and National Federation of Independent Businesses in the 78th House District race.

“These organizations represent some of the most important aspects of our society: job retention and growth, public safety, local control, and strong values,” Tyler said.

The Michigan Association of Police Organizations represents three/fourths of the state's 19,500 police officers including the Michigan State Police Troopers Association, the Michigan State Police Command Officers Association, the Police Officers Labor Council, and the Michigan Association of Police.

The Michigan Townships Association represents the 1,242 townships in the State of Michigan.

“Retaining and bringing jobs to Michigan is my number one priority,” Tyler said. "Michigan businesses need our help to reduce unnecessary regulations, eliminate the job-killing Michigan Business Tax surcharge, and to compete at the national and global level. Our communities are desirable locations for businesses and individuals to locate to thanks to our law enforcement officers' diligent work and the services local government provides. I am proud to have the support of the Citizens for Traditional Values, Michigan Townships Association, National Federation of Independent Businesses, and the Michigan Association of Police Organizations as we work to make Michigan a better place to live and work.”

Tyler, who is serving her first term in the Michigan House of Representatives, has worked closely with businesses to retain and attract jobs. She has also worked with law enforcement officers and township officials to ensure public safety is a top priority both locally and throughout the state.
